Why Us!

“Thank you, Sarah-Louise and your tutors, for all your hard work with our daughter. She is going up a Maths group and is so excited.  I can honestly say this is a direct result of the time and effort that you have put into her maths tuition.”

Tailored Courses

Tailored courses for your child in a place where their learning is fun so they thrive.  We craft a specific program for your child.  This is developed with you and the assessment results and is constantly reviewed so your child receives the best possible tuition geared towards their needs.

Goals for every student:

Together we create SMART learning goals for all students. This creates:

  • Success in every lesson.
  • Enhanced confidence and self-esteem.
  • Positive attitudes towards learning.

Gifted Kids

We work with very capable students to encourage top performance. Using the latest computer-aided technology and educational learning programmes, we enable children to advance as quickly and as far as they are capable.

Exams

by learing today  provides specialised coaching to prepare student for exams or any assessments. Coaching begins with National Curriculum Assessments in  English and Maths to identify any learning gaps. Also taught are verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills. We then craft an individual programme for each student with the aim of maximising the opportunity to comfortably pass the exam.

Special Learning Needs

tutors are professionals, experienced at working with children who have a variety of Special Educational Needs. Many children with special learning needs have low self-esteem and low self-confidence and they may be used to failing. It is important to help change this cycle of failure. It is through enabling children to experience success that children build their confidence, step by step. So at we strive to ensure children's self-belief is restored and they enjoy their studies once more.

To enable this to happen, we provide a multi-sensory approach that combines visual (seeing words and pictures), auditory (listening and saying aloud), kinaesthetic (doing actions) and tactile (touch) learning - so for example: see the word, say the word and write it down. Additionally we employ a variety of strategies and keep reinforcing concepts again and again. We make it fun. We use the little and often approach so as not to overload students.

Dyslexia and Dyspraxia

Dyslexia can cause problems with memory, sequencing and concentration. It can affect spelling, writing, reading, personal organisation, listening and sometimes maths.

Dyslexic students often have skills in other areas such as design, drama, music and art. Such students may also have excellent verbal skills but have trouble getting their ideas down on paper.

Dyspraxia usually affects coordination and students may have problems with getting themselves organised, perhaps putting shoes on the wrong feet or putting clothes on backwards. Dyspraxia may show itself in the organising of ideas for writing where sentences may be muddled and paragraphs may be confused. Also, students may not know where to put full stops, may miss out spaces between words and may not start at the correct place on a page.

At we work with these students to teach them skills so they can manage this more effectively.
